Cameron Davis (Pro V1x)Cameron Davis (Pro V1x)

Note: Davis played the new Titleist TSi3 driver for the first time in competition this week. He transitioned from a TS3 (9.5°) with a Ventus 7 Blue X shaft with an A2 setting to a new TSi3 (10.0°) with a UST LIN-Q Gunmetal in a D2 setting. He also changed the CG setting to H2. According to Titleist Tour Representative Larry Silveira, “the higher loft helped him with increased spin and start line.”

T6. CHARLEY HOFFMAN

Pro V1x golf ball,  NEW TSi3 (8.0°) driver, NEW TSi3 (15.0°) fairway metal, TS3 (17.0°) and 913Hd (20.0°) hybrids, T100 (5) iron, 714 MB (6-9) irons, Vokey Design SM8 pitching (46°), gap (50°), sand (56°) and lob (60°) wedges, Scotty Cameron F5 putter

Charley Hoffman (Pro V1x)Charley Hoffman (Pro V1x)

Note: Hoffman resides in the San Diego area and given his proximity to the Titleist Performance Institute in Oceanside, he was a valuable resource in the testing of the new TSi metals – and among the earliest adopters of the new driver on the PGA TOUR. Hoffman put the new TSi3 driver and fairway metal in play the first week it was available at the Safeway Open in Napa. He continues to play the TSi3 (8.0°) driver with a D4 Titleist SureFit setting and Mitsubishi Tensei 2.0 AV 65 TX shaft. He also games the TSi3 (15°) fairway in a D1 setting, preferring the look of the face angle, and its slightly lower launch and spin. He enjoys the option to rotate the 15.0° and 13.5° fairways in and out of his bag depending upon course setup and conditions.

T6. SCOTT STALLINGS

Pro V1x golf ballNEW TSi3 (10.0°) driver, TS3 (16.5°) and 917F2 (21.0°) fairway metals, U500 4-iron, T100 (5-PW) irons, Vokey Design TVD proto gap (52°), sand (56°) and lob (60°) wedges, Scotty Cameron X5 putter

EUROPEAN:

Aaron Rai (Pro V1) topped World No. 14 (Pro V1x) with a par on the first hole of an all-Titleist golf ball playoff to win the Scottish Open for his first Rolex Series title. Rai carded a closing 7-under 64 to set the clubhouse target at 11-under 273, before the Pro V1x player matched it by converting a 20-foot putt on the last for a closing birdie.

In addition to playing the Pro V1x, the runner-up has been playing a Titleist TSi3 (9.0°) driver since the first week it became available. The win was the second of Rai’s European Tour career and comes just one week after he finished 2nd at the Irish Open. The win moves Rai into the top five on the Race to Dubai Rankings and the top 100 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Robert Rock (Pro V1x) finished solo 3rd, one shot out of the playoff.

A total of 83 players relied upon Titleist golf balls this week, that’s nearly four times the nearest competitor with 22.

LPGA:

Mel Reid (Pro V1x) fired a final round 4-under 67 en route to a 19-under 265 victory total at the ShopRite LPGA Classic for her first career title on the LPGA Tour. Reid is a six-time winner on the Ladies European Tour and three-time Solheim Cup player (2011, 2015 and 2017). She finished two shots clear of solo runner-up Jennifer Kupcho (Pro V1), who birdied the last two holes.

Jennifer Song (Pro V1x) finished solo 3rd, another shot back. All three players were seeking their first career crown. Reid took control when she made four birdies in a span of five holes (Nos. 7-11).

Titleist was the overwhelming top choice in golf balls with 97 players – over 81 percent of the field – 90 more than the nearest competitor with 7.

SOUTH AFRICA

Titleist Brand Ambassador Danie Van Tonder wrapped up the Sunshine Tour’s five-tournament Rise-Up Series with his second consecutive win and third of this stretch. Van Tonder, who won last week’s Vodacom Championship Unlocked, closed with a 6-under 66 en route to a 21-under 195 victory total to win the Vodacom Championship Reloaded by four shots.

A total of 85 players relied upon Titleist golf balls this week, that’s 79% of the field and more than four times the nearest competitor. Titleist was the choice of all five Rise-Up Series champions.

LATINOAMERICA:

Toni Hakula (Pro V1x, TS2 driver, TS3 fairway, 818H2 hybrid, 718 CB irons, Vokey Design SM7 wedges, Scotty Cameron Futura X7M putter) birdied the 16th hole from 60-feet to tie for the lead and then won it with 4-footer on the final hole to capture the The Challenge at Harbor Hills by one shot over three players, including Kyle Wilshire (Pro V1) and Jorge Fernandez Valdes (Pro V1x).

The event was the sixth in the newly formed LOCALiQ Series. After opening 66-64, Hakula carded a seven-birdie final round 63 to give him his first LOCALiQ Series title. He won the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica Bupa Match Play title in 2018.
