I go every year in early December. Usually in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s but on sunny days that feels pretty warm. Sometimes we run into light rain but that can happen anytime throughout the year at Bandon. Only a couple of times in the 12 years I have been going that we had heavy rain, standing water in fairways and greens that made putting impossible. We just implemented the 2-putt rule and played on. You rarely get heavy wind like they have in summer. I have not been during Thanksgiving or Christmas weeks but I understand attendance is low and reservations are possible without the year and half early booking. Days are short so the only way to do 36 holes on the same day is to be one of the first groups off and grab and go lunch. We usually play the main courses in the mornings and then hit the Par 3 courses in the afternoons.

A group of my friends go every year for new years . The last two years have been extremely great weather. Not even for the time of year, just sunny and 55-60 degrees outside. It’s definitely worth it good weather or not
