My season began yesterday. Surprising, there were ten cars in the parking lot, everyone is walking. Ohio Valley has been getting a lot of rain but temperatures are coming up so I'll be out there getting in at least 9 a day till November, weather permitting.

Im out there playing, in NW pa the courses are barely open for the season normally this time of the year so there aren't too many ppl out there. Heading out for a walk after work had been the best part of my days during this strange times!

Playing... In fact my course, Bay Pointe Onset Ma. was really busy yesterday. What they are doing is all transactions are through grill window. They are allowing rental of carts. I always walk. I have noticed all rakes have been removed. Pins are still in. Ball washers are not out. They are still stored from the winter.

    Play until I’m told I can’t
  5. I think as long as you're taking the right precautions its not a big deal to go play. Play by yourself or with buddies and walk and keep your distance. Don't touch the flag sticks or ball washers. Keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer in your bag. Every thing I have seen has said golf is one of the few things that are okay right now. Hit em straight

I played this morning - solo. No pins, no takes, etc. We have a high-tech method to show pin position (see below). I play for the center of the greens anyway!

Part of my earlier response got truncated. Please pay extra attention to the mental health needs of your family, friends, and community during this crisis. The fear and uncertainty of the unknown can be crippling to some, particularly those who may suffer from anxiety and depression. Reach out - PICK UP THE PHONE - and provide a sympathetic ear and a reassuring voice. In the absence of physical touch, a calm and caring voice could be just the right medicine.

    Stay well friends.

I don't see a big problem of getting out and playing! Just don't hang out in a crowded ProShop instead of being outside and enjoying your time!

Currently where I live there haven’t been to many cases which makes me want to go play; however, since I’m a stay at home father currently (ages almost 4 and almost 2) I feel like it’s best to just stay home and keep working on my game at home when I get the chance.

I am intending to keep playing until told otherwise, lets hope the courses can remain open and we can all keep on playing.

I've been playing late in the afternoons to stay away from folks. I work in LE and I'm exposed everyday. Because of that, I've been keeping myself away from everybody that I can including loved ones. Hopefully this all blows over soon.

The kids are doing school remotely from home for at least the next month and the wife is doing the same for work. I think we all know the answer.

Went to the range at one of my local courses yesterday. Hit some putts and chips. Only spoke with the two guys behind the counter in the pro-shop as the range and practice greens were empty. The course however was quite steady for a Thursday afternoon. I guess there is no normal anymore...

Just finished my first round of the year. Shot 82 at Beverly Golf and Tennis, Beverly MA. Had 4 doubles, so I played 14 holes relatively well. Not bad for someone who hasn't played since November 22.They had a great system, regarding coronavirus;they only allowed 1 person in the shop at a time, to pay, or sign in if a member. They had a table set up which gave the person behind the counter at least 6-7 feet of distance.
  18. Going out to play today, the golf course we are playing is open for walking only, the green fees must be pre-purchased online, the course is observing the safe distance policy, the course is also requesting leaving the flagstick in at all times. They offered a reduced rate due to Covid 19 policies

Still playing in ohio when possible. Weather has not been cooperating
  20. We were playing here in New Jersey through end of the day yesterday, but the Governor's office confirmed this morning that golf is a "non-essential recreational" business, so all course in the state must shut down. This is going to be tough.....

We got shut down here in MD on Monday. Up until that point, I had already played 53 rounds of golf in 2020. With winter being so non-winterlike this year, I played right through, uninterrupted for the most part. I figured with that kind of start to the year in the cold months, I'd surely get in well over 200 rounds in 2020 (barring injury or being hit by a bus), playing most every day that is playable, as I usually do. But, now, being forced to stay off the course as a result of the pandemic, it's like having to deal with winter showing up in the spring. It's one thing to not be able to play when it's cold and windy with snow on the ground. When the sun is shining and the temps are in the 70s and 80s, sitting home will be even more difficult.

Compared to going to the grocery stores, drug stores, or other places that may be essential to maintain some semblance of life, golf seems to be a much safer activity, assuming all the safety guidelines are followed by the courses, their staff members and the players. It's quite easy to practice social distancing on a golf course. Certainly more so than in a grocery store, drug store or playing basketball with others.

I'm lost without golf right now. And it's only been three days here, so far. Can't imagine what 3 weeks or months will be like. Shoot me now.

Amen. Yet another reason for me to not own a gun. In my third week working at home. Got the routine down but even Netflix and Prime are wearing thin after 5 pm. So are the hour long walks with the pooch. Debating a screen and a mat for the back yard.
