Hi guys, I just had to swing by and let everyone who might be considering a Scotty Cameron putter but haven't pulled the trigger yet, well you're missing out. I bought a mint Futura 5MB as I love the shape. Titleist sold a lot of them, that's for sure. For any twit that says 'Will it make you a better putter' answer with well did your Mercedes Benz make you a better driver??? From the first minute that I grabbed the medium size black with red Matador it just felt quality. Grippy. It was just a joy to hold, what can I say? Sooooo comfortable. The quality construction materials are obvious. Then I hit some putts and it puts a beautiful roll on the ball. I want to use my putter, it's actually my favourite part of the game. Anyway, I hope I've talked you into it, you won't be disappointed by buying a Scotty Cameron putter. I have 3 and they're all great.

Thanks for the insight. Most of the loyalist on this sight have one or more Scotty Cameron putters and are very aware of the quality. Putting is all about feel and confidence. As the old saying goes about any club in your bag, it is the indian, not the arrow. With respect and enjoy your recent find.

Congrats on your recent purchase...you can never go wrong with a Scotty.
  4. This is old news. I think everyone knows Scotty's are the best. This is a Titleist forum, you're preaching to the choir.
  5. I tell anyone who enjoys the game and wants to get better that they use their putter roughly 30 times a round. Shouldn't it be the most expensive club in your bag? The other thing is: you get what you pay for. Scotty Camerons are quality, and they will improve your game. Period. If they still want to discuss, I walk away. Conversation over.

Congrats on your acquisition. Chuck's right; a lot of TT members have more than one.

I am looking at getting one of the older models Scotty Cameron California Del Mar... Never tried one but the looks are just great for my eye... we will see

And you are correct...look, feel, and most important is confidence in your stick. What i have noticed is that SC putters keep their value. I have an old futura mallet 2 and that still works fine. The high toe on the Del Mar just appeals to me.

Put my first Scotty in the bag this year. Best move I've made. And I swear it does make you a better putter!

  12. I did a basic putter fitting a few weeks ago, and was told I need a face balanced putter. That's what I had, but had been putting poorly. Went to the course today, and tried several putter models, both Scotty Cameron and miz. The Scotty Newport 2.5 worked the best. After I tried a couple more putters, including my putter, I tried the 2.5 again, and got great results. I was putting about a 13-15 footer, and made 8 of 9 with the 2.5, and the 9th one hit the hole. Santa came early!

Have to say, after rewarding my self getting the HCP under 36 (started on july 2020) I bought as a reward to my self a Newport 2 and couldn't be more satisfied. Awesome putter, awesome looks and this one will stay in my for a long time!

Newport 2 is a great putter. I have always used them. I have two notchbacks and have sold three. They are the anser to my putting.

I love my 2020 square back. Before buying get fitted with someone with a SAM Lab putting machine.

I’ve used Odyssey putters my whole life. Well, up until recently I made the push to finally get my hands on a Scotty. Definitely worth the investment. It’s definitely helped my golf game a bit especially when your fitted on the right piece of equipment to dial yourself in to your game. Titleist alone has always put great product out. Hope that helps with anyone who’s thinking about getting a Scotty.

I made the mistake and tried to play with a Newport for years. Why because of TIGER! What I learned after shooting in the 80s with 40 putts is that this wasn't working.

Ok enough is enough and tried to swap out putters. Tried png Nelli, Odyssey 2 ball, Zebra, Slotline, back to 2ball.

You know what time to get fitted!
If I am going to get fitted time to do it right.
Now with a Special Select Flowback 5 confidence is back and didn't shoot a single round in the 90's this year.

I wish I wasn't so stubborn and went for a fitting earlier.

Don't just get a Scotty get the right SCOTTY!

Scotty makes the best putters, not only do they look so damn good, the feel is unmatched.
