  1. Looking for a new summer shoe, something a little less traditional. I looked at the hyper flex but they just are not comfortable to me, the band that hugs your ankle rubs my skin raw. I was wondering if anyone had experience with True Link shoes?

my everyday wear is a Altra lone peak and those are a zero drop hiking shoe, extremely comfortable and it seams that True is the only company ive come across that designs a golf shoe with the same zero drop. would like some hands on reviews if anyone has some info or recommendations on maybe a different shoe.

grew up wearing skateboard shoes and now wear work boots so my feet have seen better days.

    Appreciate the help

Being that FootJoy is a sister company to Titleist, the prevailing answers here will be to try multiple FootJoy styles as many of them fit differently. The new "traditions" shoe runs a bit larger (about a half size) than other FJ's but they are crazy comfortable. If you do not need soft spikes, the regular Flex models are very comfortable.

I have wore FJ shoes always & for years wore the FJ Contour, now that I've gone spikless I wear the FJ Pro SL & just love the comfort when I walk courses behind my Clicgear cart.

A gentleman that plays in our group loves the Flex XP for comfort.

I have never really tried any other shoe for golfing.

Have a look at the FJ Flex and Flex Coastal.

I'd definitely recommend the FJ Flex XP for comfort. Also the Tour X is a great shoe, kind of straddles that line between a traditional and non-traditional shoe.

One that has multiple pairs and styles of FJ shoes; Premiere, Traditions, Pro/SLs, ICONS, DryJoy Tours, FJ Flex, FJ Flex XP, Tour X, Country Club, Club Professional and Club Casuals. I find that I wear the same size in all these styles. That is one reason I like FJ shoes and can depend on the fit. I can order a 12W and know I am getting the right fit, every time. I have worked part time for five years as the Tech Rep for the FJ Rep for the Charleston/Hilton Head/Myrtle Beach/Savannah area. The new Traditions are a great lightweight shoe and are a very popular shoe when we do golf outings/events. We have had no issues with them running larger than other FJ lines at the events. I called my boss a few minutes ago to see if he had had any issues with customer feed back regarding the fit (running larger) of the traditions and he said no. They run true to size. Being that you were a skateboarder, you might like the Contour Series (54129, 54113, 54180, 54179, 54186) spiked shoe or the Contour Casual ( 54057, 54072, 54070, 54056) spikeless. I too would recommend the Tradition shoe. It is a winner. Recommend that you check these out an any proshop thru FootJoy's catalog or online a foojoy.com and order them direct. Am not familiar with the True Links shoe, but in looking at the pictures of them they look very much like the FJ Flex line. Sometimes a blister on the heel can come from an improperly fitted shoe or sock. I wear FJ TechSof Tour Men's Roll Tab. The tab stays up and keeps the heel protected. The only sock I wear when playing golf. If that shoe is too big it will blister your heel. True Links Shoes and FJ shoes may not be cut on the same last.

Thank you for the reply, Definitely going to be giving the traditions a try.

One thing to remember, we find that sizing differs from brand to brand when we do fittings. Recommend trying them on.
