  1. Third day I have played with the same ball and performance was excellent. Exceptional distance improvement with all clubs and good ball control on the green.

Got mine in the mail this week.
Ran through my supply of loyalty rewarded ProV1xs so I have pick up a sleeve for some A/B testing.
The weather in VT will be 62 and sunny on Saturday and 72 and cloudy Sunday. Good testing weather!
  3. I just received the prototype balls, I am planning to hit them next week. Off the putter great soft feel. The roll is constant. I normally hit the PV1 . Can't wait until Wednesday
  4. When can I expect to receive the 2019 prototype
  5. When will I be getting my prototype- I’m playing next week and would love to test them.

  7. Hi Team Titleist,

First off, Thank you so much for the #2019proto. I don’t do Instagram, snapchat, or Twitter, so I’m sorry that this will be my only place to view this review.

I play a Prov V1. You sent me a white box with a black number.

Here is what I felt and saw. Driver launch remained pretty normal. Iron launch and peak height was higher. Spin was also higher. Wedge spin was excellent, as always.

Putter feel and overall feel a tiny bit softer than Prov V1. Not as soft as AVX though.

Shot 75 and didn’t lose a ball. Will get some use out of the sleeve. ;)

  8. Played 9 last night with the new ball, black ones. It’s getting a little cooler here in MI with the fall weather it was about 55 degrees. The ball performed well with good distance off the tee and feel around the greens despite the cooler conditions. Played one of my better 9’s this year on a very tough layout. Best thing was I didn’t lose any of the balls, I still have the entire sleeve!

I am giving the new ball on a scale of 1-10 the full 10. Very responsive ball with both distance and feel. If it can do this in cooler weather the ball must perform even better in warmer conditions.
  9. Great feel and good distance off the tee with the 2019 Proto golf balls. Good distance and ball height with the irons and easy to control on the greens. Over all a great ball.
  10. Not sure how you keep improving the best ball in golf, but you have done it once again.
Higher, straight ball flight. Checks up nicely. Great feel around the greens.
Can't wait until they are readily available!

Hey Abby, just dying to try some of these test balls. I've filled out forms to be a tester quite a few times. Still hoping!
    Play Well,

  12. Received my sleeve this week too. Going to give it. A try this weekend, sounds very promising.
  13. Mother nature was not so nice to us this year giving us 20 inches of snow on Oct 2nd here in Alberta Canada. I'd love to try out the new pro v in 2019 cause thats going to be the next time i get to golf!

I received a sleeve of the Proto 19 this week and went straight to the course. The difference in distance was amazing to me. I was a good 20 yards longer with this ball along with a better feel around the green.
I’m ready for the launch so I can upgrade to this ball.

The first thing I noticed was a the dimple pattern which I found interesting. My balls were the Red 1 version.

Off the driver I found them a little stiff when compared to the Pro V1x but the sound difference was distinctive. The trajectory was slightly lower and overall distance was slightly longer.

The ball responded well off the short irons and when well struck had plenty of bite.

There was a little roll out with the mid irons. I use hybrids for my three and four irons and I thought they were comparable to the Pro V1x.

There was considerable moisture around the greens so I didn't feel the conditions allowed for a proper review.

The feel off the putter was very good.

I look forward to finding out what type of ball it was.

After all, it's a Titleist, so whats not to like.
  16. I couldn't wait to try my Proto 2019 and they definitely didn't disappoint . I hit 2 drivers , one with the Pro V1 and 1 with proto , proto finished solid 9 yards past my current ball. The ball has great feel and on the irons seemed to really work in the direction I attempted, especially the trajectory which I tried different ones as a test. The ball putts fantastically well -feel is fantastic . This ball is a winner by my standards . Great job Titleist.

I haver been shut out the last few years. Hope I get back into the rotation to try the new balls. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
  18. Abby: I haven't seen the prototypes yet, but hope to this week. Your shout out to Triggs brought back some memories as I played there often back in the sixties!

Received a sleeve of the black Prototypes yesterday and went right out to the Golf course to try them. The new ball has a softer feel than the present Pro V1. More like the older generations. Ball seems to spin more with irons & wedges. Ball gives me more feedback on pure hits & miss hits. Much improved feel putting, as I like a softer feel on the greens. Have played Pro V1's since they came out. Didn't like the last generation as much. Played Taylor made TP-5's, liked the performance tee to green, but almost too soft putting. As Goldilocks said, not too hard, not too soft but just right. Looks like a real winner.
  20. I received a sleeve of black numbered ball played 9 holes with 2019 proto . 9holes with pro vx , liked the new ball lower flight more roll out with driver , good feel putting lots off spin out sand yes I did hit some bunkers on the front side . Home course Crestwood C.C. Rehobeth Ma.
