1-2 Finish for Thomas and Spieth at TPC Boston

It was a 1-2 Labor Day finish at the Dell Technologies Championship for Titleist Brand Ambassadors Justin Thomas (Pro V1x) and Jordan Spieth (Pro V1x). Two Titleist golf balls. 28 Titleist golf clubs.

Thomas edged Spieth to capture the second leg of the FedExCup Playoffs for his PGA Tour-leading fifth title of the season.

Thomas, who was two shots behind at the turn, closed with a 5-under-par 66 en route to a 17-under-par 267 victory total, three shots clear of Spieth, who shot 4-under-par 67 in the final round.

“It was a good day. It was a patient day,” said Thomas. “It just was a great week because I felt like I didn't have my best stuff at the start of the week and that's just something I've gotten so much better at and I'm proud of myself more than anything. It was a great win for Jimmie (Thomas’ caddie, Jimmie Johnson) and myself both for sure.”

Jordan Spieth was runner-up for the second straight week in the playoffs and vaulted to No. 1 in the standings, just ahead of Thomas.

After a week off, the Playoffs will resume at the BMW Championship outside Chicago where the field of 70 will be cut to 30 for the TOUR Championship at East Lake in Atlanta.

With the win, Thomas moves to his career-high No. 4 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Paul Casey (Pro V1) posted a 12-under total at TPC Boston to tie for 4th place.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Kevin Na (Pro V1) shot 5-under-par 66 to tie three other players for sixth place, including Titleist golf ball loyalist Pat Perez (Pro V1).

Titleist Brand Ambassadors Bill Haas (Pro V1x) and Rafa Cabrera Bello (Pro V1x) shot the low rounds of the final day with 6-under-par 65’s.

Haas raced up the leaderboard and secured a T10 finish, advancing to No. 30 in the standings.

Cabrera Bello tied for 18th and moved from No. 80 to 60, securing a tee time at the third stage of the Playoffs.

Justin Thomas now trails Spieth by a mere 27 points in the standings as we look ahead to Chicago.

“It’s obviously been a great year thus far,” said Thomas. “I have a great opportunity to finish this thing off and win the FedExCup. But there's a lot of other great players that are playing great golf. So I just need to go home and get rested next week and get feeling fresh to play these last two events well.”

Congratulations, Justin and good luck the rest of the way!
