Me and Nelly play the same shafts in our irons and driver. That's about the only thing similar in our golf games, unfortunately. I sure wish mine was a lot more like hers!

Anyone who poo-poos the LPGA can't really appreciate the beauty of what they have to offer. Don't be short-sided. Frankly, most of us mere mortal male players can learn a lot, just by watching them play. Pay attention guys, especially you young wannabees. These girls are good.

Truth - the LPGA players had their way with Congressional, no one can say their short games aren’t on point any more.

It's about time. These women are busting their butts trying to succeed in golf. Now, let's try to get some bigger purses for the LPGA players. Yesterday, Tom Kim got $1,400,000.00 to win the Shriners. Jodi Ewart Shadoff got $270,000.00 to win the Mediheal. How insulting and demeaning. The LPGA has some big corporate sponsors. Time to ante up folks!

I agree 100%. It is the problem with women's golf. We use to have a LPGA event here in Charleston, SC. I was one of the tournament Chairs and it went away. Main reason it left, corporate sponsors or lack of. It takes a tremendous amount of money to put on these events and requires a number of BIG name sponsors with deep pockets to put on these events. It also takes a lot of community support, meaning gate receipts and corporate tent sales. If you cannot get a good combination of the both, the tournament as well as the payouts fail. We had a big name draw, and Annika Sorenstam was the host for the tournament. It did not get bigger. (Another example is that we also lost the Nationwide tour Championships because of the same reasons). Steve Stricker got $300,000
winning on the Seniors tour. Unless it is a women's major, I do not see it reaching that bar at this time. Do I agree? No.

This seems to be a recurring theme for all women's professional sports, their payouts and compensation don't equate with their male counterparts. As a golf fan, I enjoy viewing all levels of the sport from the amateur to professional level. Recently, I had the pleasure to play a casual round with my club's head pro and to watch someone with that skill level play the game is special...didn't hurt that he was giving me pointers when I asked him for some assistance. I believe the only way the payout amounts will get close to the men's side of things is to boost corporate sponsorship. In the meantime, we should continue to support all levels of the sport.

I'm happy Titleist has added this missing piece to the forum. Long over due in my opinion. Although I've been to only a couple LPGA events,I did have the chance to see the Curtis Cup matches in 2010.I worked for many years as a starter at the host site. Jessica Korda and Lexi Thompson were on that team, along with a number of other women's amateur players whose names escape me at the moment.

During a practice round,Lexi Thompson and 3 other girls were on 18 tee, a par 4 with an elevated tee.I was on the first tee, with a great look up at the group.Lexi hit first and drove it so far it went through the fairway.The dispersion patter for the other 3 drives was so tight, it seemed you could have thrown a face cloth over all 3 remaining drives.

These girls can really play.

Women golfers are the better golfers. Their swings are substantially better, and if all things are equal, they would drive the ball farther than men. I love watching the LPGA.

The LPGA is a great product with the best female players in the world all on the same stage. It is great to see that so many are now playing the Titleist brand and that Titleist has opened that door. The game on the LPGA is as good as watching the PGA Tour.
