Picked up my new U505 3 iron on Saturday and gave it its first test in a medal - I already have the U510 4 iron and wanted to fill too big a gap to my 3 wood.
I can’t blame the club as I had already pulled several shots before I pulled out to use off the third tee - a short par four. A solid strike but a pull into the bushes/tree line on the left - and the provisional followed! Sadly neither ball was found so an eight ended up on the card. Used it again on two par threes and both were good strikes - looking forward to using it this Tuesday when I have taken the afternoon off to visit Hayling Island.
Not the debut I hoped for but I am certain it will prove its value in the rounds to come.
Anyone else lost balls with their first ever shot with a new club?
