    I’ve been to pinehurst a few times. Played most the resort courses as well as Tobacco Road and pine needles. Heading back down and the boys wanna play either mid pines or southern pines…what’s everyone’s opinion?

    Have played all courses you mentioned. I’d play southern over mid. Last time I played mid it was nearly a 6 hour round. That said, would rather play Tobacco Road over either track.

    Both are classic Donald Ross layouts. Don’t think you could go wrong with either one. My personal preference would be for Mid Pines.

    Mid Pines is definitely worth a play. Nice Donald Ross design. Look int Pinehurst #10 if you haven’t played it. Walking only but worth it.

    Plus check out the new Titleist Center at Pinehurst CC.

    Go to mid pines for some good golf. It is a step back to the time that courses were built for walkers. My favorite course in the area.
