    Hey, TT!

I'm sitting here in SC, just waiting for Hurricane Florence, but pondering some golf-philosophical questions....

When you attend a PGATour event...what do you most look forward to seeing?

    The course?

    The players?

    The spectators?

    The celebrities (maybe)?

    Something else?

I've been to 3 PGA Championships, 1 US Open, 1 Masters, and an NCAA championship...I always look forward to checking out the courses, especially Augusta National and Oakmont. But, I also look forward to seeing how the best players respond to the conditions and their competition.

I look forward to yall's responses.

I mostly spend alot of the morning at the practice areas watching how the Pros practice before teeing it up. Once on the course, I try to watch their pre shot routines.

Celebrities mean nothing to me. There are a hand full of players that would get my attention. The course is what would catch my eye. Kinda weird but that's me, kinda weird.

I am there for the course. Been to 3 Walker cup events just to see the course. Have not been disappointed yet.
Chicago Golf club, National Golf Links of America and LACC.

The course first of all then a handful of players but the course is the main event

Living in Ohio I go to the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village regularly.
I always look forward to seeing the immaculate condition ad lay out of the course, but may most favorite thing is seeing the pros hit shots that I cant..

I have only been to less than a handful of professional tour and they are far and few between as I really care more to play than to get on and follow a player- I hope that's not a bad thing. But if the question is still valid to answer from a guys with a lesser interest in attending or being a spectator, the course would be my the motivation to go. My wife and I were on Pebble Beach in a pro am on our way back from San Francisco and caught Fred Couples on his approach on the 4th. He made it look simple and I thought nothing of it though he's less than a flagstick left and past the hole, besides, we were a little far and ahead of him and still navigating around the course on foot. We missed the 5th hole for some reason, but we've decided to follow him. We were so up close to him on the tee at a par 5 #6th, when we saw his tee shot. I was stunned by it- in to the wind and his ball ended up closer to the right of fairway down the valley for a perfect midiron it looks like and got it on to about a flag stick left of the hole. That was just completely amazing to see from Fred Couples. I never took my eyes off of him since. He would go on to play well the rest of the day. It was a great experience.

Course is always the star...maybe the shop for a souvenir is 2nd
  9. The Shots are the best part for me, although, some of the shapes on them give me ideas that tend to get me into trouble on the course..

Definitely the players. I love watching their routines, swings, the sound their shots make, and how they navigate the golf course. I've learned a lot when following pros around the course, which in turn has really helped my game.
  11. The Meijer Classic is played here in the summer and I would say the shots are the things to take in.
