At 15 years old, Charlie tried to break his dad's age record of qualifying for a PGA event. Sadly he failed to qualify but he did look good in his Titleist hat!

I don’t think the venue was ready for the chaos Charlie brought. I read that fans were following extremely close, hawking for autographs the entire round, etc.

People need to realize that he is only 15 years old, a +3 handicap, and not even the best golfer on his school team.

With all of the publicity and press that surrounded and followed his every move, I believe that may have contributed to some of the less than desired results.

Hopefully it was more of an experience for him to learn and grow from, and that if and when the time is right, we may see him in a PGC event and performing very successfully.

Noticed that as well and was surprised by it. Last I knew he had a full TM bag.

People have no idea the pressure that kid is under. Normal golfers don't know, better players know how hard it is to produce results when you're trying hard. Give him time, there are zero guarantees.

It's a complete shame how the fans treated him at this event. It's hard enough to attempt to follow in his Dad's gigantic footsteps, but to have grown adults demanding autographs and walking ontot he course mid-round is simply UNACCEPTABLE! The atmosphere from the WMO appears to be sprawling across all golf.
    Lets get it together, people!

I was more surprised to see him in the Titleist hat than his score on the course. I expected him to be wearing his dad's new apparel company.

I think this has been an interesting phenomenon since the first PNC father son they played together. Its abnormal for a kid this young to be in a spotlight against adults playing for a living. I wish there was a way for the kid to have normal chance to accomplish what he hopes too, but then again there hasn't been anything normal for him in his life. Its going to be like this in his golf career unfortunately. I wish people would relax, but we all know thats unlikely. Good luck to Charlie, what an incredible story that could be someday!

While I'm certainly not a fan of his father, I think people need to realize that he's a teenager experiencing professional golf for himself and should not be pressured because of who his father is.
Bringing your teenage granddaughter to a tournament in hopes of meeting Charlie is absolutely insane.
Let Charlie progress at his own pace. He may not equal or better his dad's accomplishments but he needs to do it on his own.

That would be awesome if he joins the Titleist family!
