On the 13th tee I checked the yardage—150 yards to the red pin. I grabbed my eight iron and made a smooth swing toward the pin. It looked good in the air, but the shadow made it hard to see where it landed. My buddies took their shots, and when we got to the green, I couldn’t find my ball.

Thinking I might have overshot, I had a friend check the hole, but it wasn’t there. I started searching the back bunker, feeling pretty confused. Then, my buddy suggested I check the hole again while he recorded my reaction. I looked in, and there it was—sitting at the bottom of the cup! What an incredible feeling to see that! Ace!!!
