An old friend invited me to play his club, Holly Hills Country Club, Ijamsville, MD. A wonderful course and great round, that go even getter on the back nine!
Came to the 16th hole. Checked yardage from the white’s, now playing the blues. Debated between my Titleist T350 5i and my Titleist T200 6i. Went with the 6i. Worked my routine. Took a last look at the flag. Eyes on the ball. Deep breath. Swung smooth and easy. Never felt better. Bent down to pick up my tee. Started to walk back to my golf buddies. From their faces I knew something good was about to happen. From their screaming and jumping up and down, literally, I knew something good just happened. By the time I turned around, I couldn’t see my ball.
They escorted me to the cup. They each had their cameras at the ready. I walked up to the cup. And there is was! What a beautiful site!
