I’m excited to share that I recently made my first hole-in-one using a Titleist Pro V1 golf ball!

It happened at the Heritage Club in Pawleys Island, SC, on the 8th hole — a 143-yard shot using my miz JPX Hot Metal Pro 925 8-iron. The ball landed softly and spun back right into the cup. It was a perfect moment with my three lifelong golf buddies on our annual golf trip.

Here’s where it gets interesting: I had actually found the ball on my home course, Raintree in Charlotte, NC. It had a logo of a company on it, so I threw it in the bag to show my son (he’s four and loves golf and green logos) only to pull it out for the round at Heritage club. When I got home, I was able to connect with the sales rep who helped me track down a member of my club only to find out the ball was from his father who had passed away a few years ago. We plan to have a glass of bourbon together soon so he can tell me about his dad and he can see the ball again which is displayed proudly in my home office. A fun ending to a great story.
