It was a sunny beautiful Sunday afternoon out on the exclusive CO’s Evergreen golf course. Herds of elk laying all over the course and the buddies and I listening to music having a good time hanging out as we always do just about every Sunday morning. I was shooting pretty good throughout the round smashing some good drives and getting great loft sticking my irons (which is very rare). We came up to hole #17 and the group all had pretty good drives. I smashed mine going left to right toward the blind downhill hole (297 Par 4). As we drove down toward the green I could see a ball on the green roughly 40’ from the flag. I figured the ball was mine but as I walked up I saw the ball belonged to my cart Partner Clyde Jr. He was stoked he had a nice putt for Eagle. I figured my ball must of went long as I saw a ball sitting out in Hole #3 fairway. I approached the ball but nope…not mine. I was getting frustrated looking all around for my ball knowing it must be close by somewhere. As I was still looking Clyde Sr went ahead and putted his ball in the hole for his par. He approached the cup and then hollered “there’s a ball in the cup”. I thought no FN way as I darted up to the cup. Sure enough there was my Titleist 22 sitting at the bottom. We all shared cheers and hugs and the boys all gave me a congrats high five for my first ever hole in one. So stoked it was in a Par 4 and happened at Evergreen which is one of my favorite courses to play…but very challenging battling the trees. Ended up with 8 Pars and an Ace along with many Birdy putts under 30’. Wonderful day!! Cheers
