  1. It was the 8th hole at TPC Harding Park — 206 yards, a full 6-iron. The kind of hole where you’re just hoping to hit something solid and give yourself a look.

I put a smooth swing on it — flushed it, tight 5-yard draw — and watched it tracking. It landed just left and a few feet short of the hole, took one firm bounce… and then disappeared.

At first, I didn’t believe it. I thought maybe it just rolled over a ridge or tucked behind the flag. But then someone in my group said, “I think it went in.” That’s when the adrenaline started kicking in — I wanted to believe it, but my brain was still catching up.

I started running up the fairway, club in hand, and once I got close enough to see there was no ball on the green, I flung my 6-iron in the air. When I got to the hole and saw my ball sitting at the bottom of the cup… it was pure chaos. A total out-of-body, surreal moment. It genuinely felt fake — like my mind couldn’t process that it actually happened.

The ball, scorecard, pencil, and my Titleist glove are now safely tucked away, and I even grabbed a flag from the pro shop to mark the day. My first hole-in-one — and one I’ll never forget.
