I have waited a long time for my first hole in one. I started golfing at the age of 15 back when drivers were wooden. After a vacation from golf while I focused on work and family, I returned to the game at 50. I am now retired and play 3 times a week maintaining an handicap between 8-10. I have come close to a hole in one at least 2 or 3 times a year, but had pretty much given up hope that this great achievement would ever be reached. Yesterday it finally happened on the par 3 3rd hole on my home course while playing with my buddies. After a celebration the rest of the round was a blur and I ruined my great start (par, par, eagle) with a round of 88.
