It happened during the monthly medal at RACV Royal Pines, right after the big rain bomb had swept through the Gold Coast. The course was playing tough — heavy air, soft ground, and a lot of challenge.
Standing on the 5th tee, a 157-meter par 3 off the blue tees, I pulled my 8-iron. The pin was tucked way back behind a raised bunker, completely hidden from view. I trusted my swing, hit a pure shot, and watched it sail toward the bunker — then lost sight of it.
Walking up, I couldn’t see the ball anywhere on the green. My heart was racing as I checked the cup — and there it was. My first ever hole-in-one.
I finished the round 5-over-par, but that single shot made the day unforgettable. Thanks to Titleist for being part of the journey — moments like these are why we play.
