  1. Playing with my youngest son, 21 years old, who took up golf a year ago. The hole was shaded so we did not see it go in the hole. As we approached the green we couldn't see the ball and he said "Well dad it's either over the green or in the hole". We walked to hole hole and there it was. He had a 25 foot put and almost got his birdie, but tapped in for a par. We leave our phones in the vehicle when we golf so no photo to share. This was my second ace, the first was in 1997.

  2. My 77-year-old father-in-law recently aced the 150m par 3, hole 2 at Wembley Public Golf Course with a stunning 7 wood shot. On a hazy day, amidst some smoke, he hit the perfect shot... and it vanished! His mates were sure it landed on the back of the green. After searching high and low the last place they looked was in the hole! Talk about a surprise ending!

Best part? They were playing Ambrose, so the rest of the group is claiming it as a hole-in-one too! What a way to celebrate a milestone.

No photos to capture the moment, but the memory will last a lifetime! The haze of the day and the shock on their faces meant no one was camera-ready, but the story's been told and retold, and it'll only get better with time!
