Having played golf for over 50 years not only have I never had a hole in one, I have never been in a foursome that had a hole in one. On 08/09/22 I was playing with two other golfers on Eisenhower red course. Since the COVID pandemic I have limited myself to this public course. The 16th hole is a par three 150 yards hole. It measures 141 yards from the gold tees. I used my 7 iron and put a nice swing on it. I could see the ball heading straight to pin. I saw the ball take one bounce and lost it. Up at the green I could find my ball. I though maybe I was short in the trap with the other golfer. He (Bill) said no. I knew I could not fly the green. Mike said check the hole. Sure enough to my surprise, there it was. My Titleist Pro V1x, not my usual Titleist ball. I don’t use such a high compression ball. My preference is the Titleist Velocity. But I may change my mind. Ha! Two months ago I observed beautiful Titleist hole in one pewter medallion on golf bag. The golfer said he received it from Titleist web site, so I’m hoping I may be eligible.
