  1. Hey all,

When I get out, which has been increasing lately, I have been wanting to find a solid way to check my swing afterwards to see what I'm doing to tweak it. My handicap is unknown right now (high), but I used to be low when I was playing high school golf. Outside of playing more often and the occasional lesson, have you all found any way that is convenient to record your shots, such as setting up your phone for video before you hit, or a specific app that might help facilitate this?

I have a feeling that if I can see what my swing looks like throughout the round I can find spots to identify for work on the range. I feel a bit awkward and don't feel it's fair to ask strangers or even my buddies to record for me all the time.

Any other methods that might work?

    Thanks!

Other than having a friend take videos, there's not a lot you can do without setting up a camera on a tripod. Howev er, LiveView Golf does have a camera that mounts onto an alignment rod. The camera links to your smartphone allowing you to view your swing.

I have a GoPro mount that I attach to my push cart. I video anytime I want. Just place the cart where I want and video that position behind or to the side of my ball.

The above are really the only things you can do, but I guess the real question is... Are you sure you want to do that?

I promise you that your best rounds will be when you're not thinking about your swing and you're only thinking of where you want the ball to go. Analyze your swing when you practice and enjoy the round when you play.

I speak from experience and I was not very good when i tried to analyze too much while playing. I do use video 99% of the time when I practice though.

    Best of luck!

When I want video of my swing (only on the range, by the way), I just set my phone up on the bag rack behind my range position. It takes some practice to find the right distance and set up for the phone, but the end result seems pretty good for me. My phone lets me do it is slo-mo, if I desire, which can help if you're looking for specific positions during the swing.

I started using a Zepp golf device and it showed me an over the top issue that I didn't realize that I had. So I was able to work on it from the range and eventually carried it over to the the course and was able to cure a problem I have had for years. now I have eliminated one side of the course and consistently hit a draw now for the first time ever.

Since I'm more of a feel player, hitting various shots like lower or higher ball flight depending on the wind and pin position, I use the ball for feedback. Same when I practice.
