Broken carry strap

  1. I have the Titleist Players 4 stand bag. I was halfway through a round yesterday and when I put the bag over my shoulder, the circular plastic disk that holds the strap in place just snapped. The bag is only about 2 and a half years old so definitely didn't expect that. Any suggestions for how to get a replacement strap or do I have to get a whole new bag?

The circular straps were discontinued two models ago so the warranty would not cover them. Titleist does not sell replacement parts and would not have any inventory on this older style. With the break being on the bag side a replacement would have to be sewn onto the bag. You will probably need a new bag or a DYI fix like cutting off the broken part and using something like a carabiner to attach the strap. You might also get a similar size square snap and find a way to attach it to the bottom loop. Sorry about the break. I managed to keep mine from breaking after 2 years of extensive use, walking 9 hole 200+ times a year. Switched to the Players 4 last year with the more durable snaps and have been happy with that bag too.
  3. Same thing just happened to me. The bag is like brand new condition and only a year old! Great bag but terrible design for a critical component.

Come on Matthew, wives are the only things were are supposed to carry for 20+ years (I won't say without any problems) :) Oh, I hope she isn't reading my posts...

If you bag is within the one year warranty period, take it back to where you purchased it. The retail store where you purchased the bag may require your sales receipt. Here is the Titleist warranty info on their products and the number to contact if you choose to contact customer service. I have had a number of Titleist bags and have NEVER had an "manufacturing" issue. I currently have two staff mid size bags, one cart 14 bag and one lightweight carry bag I have had at least 20 years.
