I have been playing seriously for a little more than 2 years now and I have come to hate looking down at my irons at address.  I have had a hard time lately feeling like I am set up correctly.  I attribute this to the huge amount of offset that my irons have as well as the super-thick top line.  I have gone to the local pro shop a few times and tried hitting different demo clubs on the range and I have found that I feel most comfortable with a "players" type club such as the Titleist CB 695, miz MP's, swoosh cci forged, etc...  Most of my shots with these clubs are good, (decent distance, straight, I am able to draw them if I want to, lots of feedback, etc...).  Of course there is the occasional horrible shot but I have those now occasionally also.  Am I crazy thinking I should/can play these clubs?  Does anyone know if a non "players club' that has a thin top line and minimal offset?  BTW- I currently play swoosh Sasquatch Sumo irons and shoot in the 95-100 range most of the time.

    Thanks

well a lot depends on trajectory and the type of shop that you currently hit.

I would recommend trying the New AP irons from Titleist. They are receptive to mishits and provide a straighter ball flight. I would not worry about shaping your shots, shooting 100. Focusing on one type of shot whether you draw, fade, or hit the ball straight. Consistancy is your first step towards lower scores.
