Different head weights for T100?

  1. I just ordered a set of T100s irons from my club with KBS Tour V 110 shafts standard length. I've always used midsize MCC grips so that's what I picked. They came back and said the heaviest they could get the clubs to was D0 (zero). I've always played my clubs at stock D2 or even D3/4. I'm a fairly experienced club builder and this seems like a pretty easy fix on Titleist's part, but I'm perplexed why they can't accommodate a D2 build. I took them apart and the 7 iron head only weighed 266g which is pretty light compared to some other sets I've built. Even with 10g tip weights, I can only get them to D0 without using lead tape and I'd prefer not to do that.

Does anyone know if there is a way to request heavier heads? I had always heard that Titleist had weight sorted heads and they were sometimes available to builders with component accounts.

When placing an order, you can request a specific swing weight and they will attempt to build them to spec if possible. Otherwise it will be more or less whatever it comes out to with the components you selected. At least that's what I've heard about how it's done, because they don't want to assume anything the customer wants.

I just pulled Dynamic X100s from a set of T100s, 5 through GW. Half the shafts had weights in them to get the set to D2.

Is "they" Titleist reporting back to an authorized dealer? Or a custom club builder (Club Champion as an example)? Both cast and forged heads will have variable weights when Titleist receives them. They do try to match heavier heads for higher swing weights and lighter head weights for swing weights under D0. I'd be surprised if Titleist couldn't make a D2/D3 with a matrix shaft at a standard length. I've never had an issue with standard size MCC grips.
  5. I have a T100 set as well with low sw
They have KBS 130$taper shafts and sw at D0
I called Titleist and they said they built them to standard weight and that’s where they saw at
I am so disappointed as I play my irons D3/D4
What is really odd is that my SM8 Vokeys were special ordered as well and the sw for them pw thru let Are d3,d4,d5,d6
It’s ashamed they couldn’t get it right in my set of irons, now going to have to pay and wait again to get them where they need to be
