Ap2 716 irons

    I recently purchased a pair of AP2 irons and i have been hitting the ball further then i normally do. I am a 6 handicap and i have realized after a few rounds that my ball flight with these irons is a 10-20 yard draw which i didn't have on my previous set of clubs. Is anyone else having this problem and if so what should i do?

    It probably has something to do with your address over the ball and the tungsten insert at the toe on the 716's vs the 714's.

    Were you fitted for the new AP2s? Sounds like they could be bent 2* up or something and you need 2* flat. Just speculating, but 10-20 draw is a lot if you normally hit it straight with the same swing with your previous clubs.

    If you weren't properly fit, it sounds like you should get on a trackman to see what the problem might be. If you are a 6 handicap with a consistent repeatable swing, this sounds more like fitting than swing to me.
