Ap2 irons

    Hi guys i have just got a set of Titleist Ap2 irons I love them very much this is my first set of forged irons do I need to oil the irons every month to stop any rust or don't they rust.

    It is winter here in new zealand and its bean a wet one so far

    I don't think you need to oil them at all. As long as you clean them and dry them or let them air dry, they shouldn't rust. Of course, after you play with them for a while, the faces and soles will have more markings from usual play and if you have any moisture on them and then you cover them up (say with head covers), then little rust marks will begin to from. But those can and should be easily removable the next time you play and clean your clubs.

    So the best thing to do to keep the rust off (since AP2s are not really designed to rust, like oil cans), is to not have any head covers on them and just like them air dry. But of course, they could rust over time (many years) of use, etc.

    They aren't supposed to rust, assuming there isn't any damage to the plating on the iron.  I would do what you can to store them at room temperature or as close to that as possible.  They have been tested to handle all different temperatures, but for long periods of time it is best to store them at room temperature
