So I bought a set of AP1 iron 4-PW a few weeks ago and didn't get fitted. I worried about it a little, and thought maybe it would affect my overall performance. I live up in NY and took them and a few dozen balls down to an open field yesterday and again today. All I can say is, wow..These clubs are unbelievable. The launch is incredible as well as the distance. I hear a lot of people say that these clubs actually make you lose a few yards and that there is no workability with them. That couldn't be further from the truth. I was making clean, crisp contact and taking long, deep divots- something that I never did. Second, I was able to work the ball left or right without trouble. I could put a nice 6-8yd draw on the ball on one shot, and a 10 yd fade on the next. I can't wait to get these on the course. Unbelievable clubs!
