every company measures differently. (heal, bottom middle of the club face, middle of the club face) how does titleist measure? want to check the lenght of my 909D2 driver. i beleive it is 0.5 inch longer then titleist 45" standard (i bought it second hand). i am measuring from the  middle bottom of the club face up. with the grip off of course.

    thanks

Also remember to add 1/8" for the butt of the grip.   If the club's finished length is supposed to be 45", the length without the grip will be 44 7/8"

Club length as measured by fitters is from the heel with the club laid flat and the ruler butted against the shaft.  Most repair shops have a jig they lay the club in and I have found the Titleist lengths to be as specified (I had my 910F and 910H, irons and 50-08 adjusted).   I have a go-to fitter that I have been using since 2008 (including my club making endeavors).
