Nice find, CDUCUSIN! To confirm, the Pro Trajectory was first introduced into the Titleist lineup in 1975.

Good find!! The Pro Trajectory was early 80's. This is the first ball I ever hit. An Achushnet DT.

That ball disappeared when the ProV1 came out. So late 90's
  10. The Titleist Pro Trajectory ball came out in 1975. A couple of years earlier Titleist had introduced a new dimple pattern for their ball, a departure from the traditional pattern every manufacturer had used for years. The ball was a success, but better players, including tour pros claimed the ball ballooned on them, the trajectory was too high. The Pro Trajectory ball was the answer. My ball of choice when I was a youngster even though it’s $1.25 price tag was steep for me then. Still have a sleeve of new balls as a souvenir.

Incidentally, don’t confuse the Pro Trajectory with the Titleist Professional that came out in the mid 90’s. That was the ball that was supplanted by the Pro V1.

You know you got me thinking. I relied on a Google search to refresh my memory and that’s where the 1975 date came from. But I have a nagging feeling it might have been a couple of years earlier than that. Any help from a Titleist historian?

I recently found one in a range basket that had a side stamp of "K 2 Acushnet". I called Titleist, but they didn't know how old it was. Does anyone here have any idea?

The K2 and the K2A go back to the late 60’s. Was it a customer service rep who couldn’t tell you how old it was? There’s gotta be somebody at New Bedford who would know.

  17. The Titleist Pro Trajectory 90 golf ball was introduced in 1975. This ball has 324 dimples arranged in the original icosahedron dimple pattern ...
