Greetings Team today I have question. Exactly how many golf balls is to many? The other day I grabbed 5 boxes of TITLEIST NXT Tour S in yellow $18.99 ea. So after checking my golf cabinets I realized that I have 10 boxes of balls in stock, not counting shag bags, etc... So how many boxes do you keep on hand and do you buy more balls just because they are the new model? Thanx. madgolfer hitemstraight

I used to have over 300 balls on my Shag bucket.
New balls I keep about a dozen or two, maybe a few, if they are on a good sale, like the ProV1s and ProV1Xs, were for the old model sales.

I generally like to have a few dozen on hand and take advantage of the buy 3 get 4 promo that runs in the spring.

I currently have 7 boxes of Pro V1's. I will be getting 4 more boxes next spring when the special comes back around with my special number & lettering. If they go on sale I will probably pick up a box or two. So I would say as many as you think you need is the right amount unless you think you need more than that should be the right amount.

As for buying because of the new model. I had to really convince myself I liked the 2017 Pro V1's. I used the 2013 & 2015 models and loved them. When the 2017 model came out I used it a few rounds and didn't play well with them. I didn't start playing the 17 with confidence until 18'. I have bought the 2019 model but have yet to use them much since I have not played very many rounds this year (6 total).

I buy at least 4 boxes a year though.

Back in the balata days I always had 10-12 dozen on shelf at all times, Prov1 days I usually have 3-4 dozen. Thank you Titleist for the Prov1!!!

It all depends on how many you donate to the golf course each round.
  11. I have 2 doz. DT TruSoft plus a couple of odd sleeves that I've won in my senior league. I am not that long so I tend not to loose many to the course. By the time I get near the end of the first doz. Titleist is close to releasing their next batch so I wait for the new versions and go with them. I do, however, think that 15 doz. seems like a lot. But that said, if you play a lot and like to have a new ball each 9 you may go through them pretty quick so 15 may be okay.

Easy answer. There aren't enough Titleist golf balls in the world for me.
I don't want to tell you how many balls I have.
    And it's still not enough.

3 dozen for the season, and I never go through them all.I usually get a dozen at the start of the season and the kids get me one for fathers day and my birthday, and that's about it.
  14. I agree ! I play between 120-140 rounds a year and the four dozen I buy from Titleist in the spring last until next spring. I know lots of guys who think you should change each round. I change if I notice a performance change or hit a tree or cart path.

I like to be prepared! Stocking up and having my prov1's on hand an ready to go gives me peace of mind that I have the balls for the season. No matter how many i have though, i HATE losing them lol! Anyway the question is how many is too many? Golf ppl can never have too many!! Ive never had too many shirts, hats, balls, shoes LOL We got a lot of stuff!!

If you like an old model like the NXT Tour, then you will need to stock up. Like land, they aren't making any more.

My problem with having several dozen after the 4-4-3 sale is I now have 3 dozen white 2017 Pro-V1s and trying to use them while eyeing the amber 2019 models. I won't be through all of them until late next year. I use the amber for special events and I don't lose nearly as many as I used to.

Not a bad problem, but I'll need to rethink how many I really need to keep on hand. I'd like to be out of the 2017 balls before the 2021 version comes out. So I am one that thinks there can be too many on hand.

I generally only have a dozen or two on hand at any given time, but no amount is too much. Only thing you use on every shot, outside of your shoes which many of my FJA brethren know, you can't have too many of those either.

At the beginning of the season, I buy 5 dozen, and try to get a bargain for bulk.
As the season progresses, I try not to get below 2 dozen on hand.
The ball I loved the most was the NXT yellow.

  20. I keep in my bag pro v1, AVX Bridgestone tour Brxs, pro v1 yellow
  21. I love my AP 3 irons 5 to pitching wedge with recoil R flex shafts I hit my 5 iron so consistently good I feel I should have included a 4iron when special order was placed to Titleist.

I buy one dozen when the new version of the Pro V1's come out. I use six balls per year and I play between 40 and 45 rounds per year. Then I repeat the process when the next version comes out. I carry two Pro V1's in my Titleist Sunday bag. I like to travel lite.
  25. Come on man. 6 balls a year? How far do you hit your drives? 100 yards? I find it difficult to believe you use only 6 balls a year. If that’s true those balls must get pretty banged up!

I normally keep two to three sleeves in my bag. Do not keep balls in my car, heat is not good for golf balls. I generally have six to seven dozen in reserve in my man cave. Like Tyler buy during the spring Titleist buy three get four dozen event when I need to restock. Play in tournaments, so purchase balls with gift certificates, pick up a dozen at the TT events and at the PGA shows in Orlando. Like rabbits, they have tendency to multiply.

Two sleeves is plenty. If you loose more than that a round, invest in lessons.

I usually purchase a couple dozen in the spring. They will pretty much last me throughout the year. With any luck, I will be retiring in a few years therefore I will have ample opportunity to lose more and change my buying habits.

Every competition I play I use 2new balls.any I find Titleist are kept. Others are given for juniors to use. Only play Titleist and keep 3-4 doz in stock.buy when promotions are on or in sales. This means I only play Titleist for games and practice. Don’t keep count of used balls. But I have enough.
