    Hey Team Titleist,

A few of us were chatting the other day about what we love most about the ball we play and because we all could go on and on about the different reasons why we love our golf ball, we decided to make everyone choose between just three performance options - flight, feel or spin.

Of course I would say all of the above but when pressed, I went with feel. Maybe it's a throwback to my junior days playing the Titleist Balata's I would either "borrow" from my Dad or find in the marshes at Kelley Greens, but I've always leaned toward softer feeling golf balls. And when the other performance elements are that good, feel has been the determining factor in my game.

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to pose this question to all of you... and while it would be a perfectly good response, I did leave off the "All of the Above" option on purpose.

Don't forget to tell us why you selected your preference in the comments below!

I would have to agree with Feel. If I was to lose my hands or sense of feel I would probably die. Feel is a huge factor for me with regards to doing things, playing sports etc. Rough or smooth. Too hard or too soft. This not only applies to golf but almost anything you do. You can control the ball flight and spin when golfing. If you don't have a good sense of feel you may or may not control either with consistency.I switched to graphite shafts a few years ago because steel wasn't giving me enough feedback. It took me a while to find the right shaft that was stiff enough for the most feedback...again, everything for me leans toward feel.

A golf ball that feels right is very satisfying to play whether putting, chipping, hitting approach shots or off the tee.

Feel is the most important performance attribute for me. A softer feeling golf ball gives me confidence in my short game and translates to a less "clicky" sound on pitch shots and putts.

  5. I agree with feel being the most important. The soft feel of the ball around the green really gives me the confidence that I can go for the shot I want to play.

For me it is feel. Soft feel while chipping and putting has always guided me when picking a ball. Even when I could have used something different to add distance.

Feel is the most important to me.. Since I can't hear the sound off the face, I go off feel and nothing better then a soft feel off the face.

Simply put the feel of the ball .
Great feel brings more confident control.

I chose FEEL for the same reason Mike.
The older Titleist balls I used in high school (late 70's). I remember the Spalding Eagle golf ball felt firm & Top-Flight felt worse then that. Prostaff invented their weird dimples around that time but that ball didn't fancy my eye. But the old Titleist felt good on most strikes with driver or iron and that's what I like about them today as well.

It's always about feel when it comes to golf. It tells you everything you need to know with every club in the bag. Its like having a coach next to you.

It would have to be feel for me.

Feel seems to be subjective but also a direct correlation to the other two by providing comfort or confidence on the players part to perform. My personal opinion.

Without a doubt for me it’s feel. if It doesn’t feel right why use it. The main reason I game a prov1x is the feel. Everything else they jam into it is a huge plus.

The better the ball feels, the more consistent and confident you are. Feel for sure!

Hey Mike D. I had to go with feel. Having voted that way, I must say that is the reason I've been playing the new AVX ball this past summer. Just love the feel of that ball around the greens.
    Play Well,

The feel off the club face is far better than anything with pro v1x

    Interesting question.
My answer is spin. Because in my opinion every good golfer can play with an umbrella. (The old legend Seve told me this once when I was on tour)

So feel is important but not THAT important when the question was:

IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ONLY ONE PERFORMANCE ATTRIBUTE, WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR PRO V1 OR PRO V1X?

So I've put this to the test.
I bought a sleeve of Titleist Pro V1, Titleist Pro V1x, TM & srxn. All the best of their types in the brand.
Then I've blinded myself on the putting green, chipping green and believe it or not.. full wedge shot.
Then I noticed when we don't see any more and we have to rely on our trust en feel.
Suprisingly all balls felt very good. However there were 2 type(s) that came very close to the actual feel of greatness.
On the putting green it was by far the Titleist Pro V1x. On the chipping green it was the Titleist Pro V1 but full wedge shots were the srxn onces. So crazy.

Then I've put it to the test again and placed and FlightScope behind it and Quintic on the putting green.
So feel for me was no longer an option, I'm that good of a player that feels comfortable with every brand. But why do I always choose Titleist?

Well the answer is simple. Driven by the best, played by the best.
From all the bad shots I hit the spin was that amount high I could still keep the ball in play.
    So control your spin!!

Now ofcourse I'm no longer a professional anymore but amateur golfer. I thought let's put this poll to the test at some Titleist players here on the PGA European Tour this week at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
The Titleist staff players agree with me that feel is important but NOT that important. What surprisingly all TITLEIST players mentioned was the SPIN. If the loose the spin, they loose their control of their flight, club distance control and preceision.

Would love to read you shared about this poll.

    Happy swings,

    Bart

Feel is the most important for me. Nothing like the feedback you receive from a well-struck shot from a brand new Pro V1!!

Feel is the most important for me also. I like to feel the ball compressing on the club face.
