    Hey guys,

I was fitted yesterday for T100 Irons, or at least I thought I was going to be. I was hitting them off a mat to get fitted, and I HATE hitting off mats, especially with irons because you don't get the natural give that you do with grass. Also, I am currently fixing/working on fixing my chicken elbow in my swing. So it's pretty much all over the place. I currently am playin TM Rocketbladez Tour irons and have had no issues hitting them well. For whatever reason I couldn't hit the T100s at ALL. But when I tried the T200, I was more consistent, but still struggled a bit. So in the end I was fitted for T200 irons, with the shaft, 2 degrees on the toe, and plus 1/2 inch on each club. My question is, if I end up still going with the T100 irons, would it be okay to keep the same specs? I have ALWAYS wanted the T100 irons, they look sooooo clean and sleek. But with my current swing issues, I feel that played a much bigger factor in my fitting than it normally would. I have also heard some issues with the T200 back plate coming off fairly soon and am worried about that as well if I went that route. I'm anywhere around a 6-9 Handicap, depending on the day. And I've read that the T100s seem to fit elite to mid-handicappers. I wish I could have done my fitting on grass..but now I'm in a dilemma! Any advice??? I personally feel if I get the T100s, I will be good, but then again..I'm not 100% sure..

I'm also not the biggest fan of the T200s look!

If you're a high single digit handicap, you're gonna be better off with the T200.

T100s; Low launch with "workable" performance. Best for the better player who want the iron used by the most touring professionals around the world.

T200s: Mid launch with "forgiving" performance. Best for the player who wants distance help, without sacrificing looks, feel, trajectory, or stopping power.

Think you just have to decide what you want. Agree with Brock, based on your handicap. Both are being played by touring pros.

Thanks for the feedback! I ended up going with the T100 irons. Call me shallow but I just didn't like the look at ALL by the T200 irons. Too thick in the back. I've wanted the T100 irons for awhile now and I know I can hit them on natural grass with my grips (winn dri tac wrap, can't hit tour velvets for some reason). I also rarely have issues with my irons on the course, but struggle if I go to a range with turf. Fortunately I have a course right by me with a natural grass range and don't really ever play off turf. Plus, I have about 2 months before they arrive which I'm taking for hopefully be closer at fixing my chicken elbow issue! So excited for them!
  5. attack angle can be a deciding factor. if you hit down into the ball and have a decent divot the T100 will be the better choice. If you sweep or have a very shallow attack angle with minimal to nonexistent divot the T200 will work much better.

That is good to know! I definitely am not a sweeper without a divot. A good iron shot from me always consists of a medium sized divot at the least.

If you hadn't already purchased them, I would have suggested a split bag. Just did that after a Titleist fitting by keeping my 718 AP2s in 9 - 7 and got T200s for 6 - 4. I'm currently a 4 handicap but just love the ease of the T200 in the longer irons.

I was in a similar situation. Was fitted for T200 irons...got them, and didn't like them that much...I ordered just the 9-GW in the T100S irons with different shafts and it was like a match made in heaven. They are the best feeling irons I've played since my miz MP69s, but with more distance and forgiveness...And with the shaft change I made, actually going from an 85g graphite to a 120g steel shaft, my ball flight is higher and numbers overall are better. So, the description that they are low launch, spin, etc, is only a general guide...I'm now ordering the rest of the set to replace my T200s and wish I had just purchased these to begin with and gone with my gut...you'll love them!!
