  1. Yesterday was a perfect example as to why you never plan your golf around the weather. There was a special weather statement for Southern Ontario calling for severe thunderstorms. Several groups in our men's league cancelled, and it turned out to be an okay day. I will play in the rain as long as it is no monsoon like conditions and there is no thunder or lightning. As long as you dress for it, carry lots of towels, and have more than one hat. I tried those rain gloves on the weekend, and was amazed at how well they work. Maybe when I retire I will be more selective, but for now I will play in almost any conditions but snow.

Bob... I admire the fact that you will play in any weather, but like you I will NOT play when there is thunder and lightning in the area. That is a line I will not cross having seen the results of lightning strikes on a course.
I used to play in the rain, but I have retired, and now that I can get out 3 to four times per week, I will gladly switch a Monday for a Tuesday if the weather looks like we will get rained on for more than three or four holes :)
