I just purchased a box of the new AVX balls by Titleist. I chose the yellow ones to help me see the ball better. I find it harder and harder to follow the flight of the regular white ones nowadays :) I will post my experiences and overall thoughts on the new AVX after I get in a couple or three rounds with them. In the mean time, I was wondering what others think about them now that you have had some time to try them out...

  2. Hi Darius,

I have played over 7 rounds with the new ball. I find it goes consistently longer than the Pro1x. Around the green, I have not noticed any difference. Off a tight lie, with either my 60 degree or 56 degree, I can still get it to stop on the 2nd bounce. Putting feels the same. I am still on my first box of balls, and probably will try the yellow ones next.
  3. Getting ready to try them next week. Hopefully it's a tour level ball like the proV series. I've been playing the proV series since day one so 17 years now!

I'm very excited to see it perform with the mid irons. I'm looking for something to fly a little lower and better in the wind

From my understanding the AVX flies lower than the Pro V1 and the ProV1x flies higher than the ProV1

I’ve been playing these for a couple of rounds now. I love them. I have been consistently hitting more fairways. The lower flight really helps.
It’s great having a premium ball in yellow
  6. Finally got a round in with the new AVX.

My normal ball is the ProV1x

    Swing speed with driver -115mph

Off the tee I found it to be softer feeling and lower flying than the X. Good penatrating flight.

Same type of results off of the irons, but I seemed to really notice is that the AVX really outlclasses everything in the wind with the short and mid irons

Around the greens it was soft off putter and wedges , but not as spinny as the ProV1x.

Overall great ball that could be a great fit for a large number of players.
