Playing in a NYSGA (Amateur) sanctioned event at Seven Oaks Golf Club (Colgate University) in Hamilton, NY. Hole #6, a Par 4, 310 yard hole. I teed-off last and hit my Driver (ball was a Titleist NXT Tour S-Optic Yellow). The shot drew into the fairway and the rest, as they say, is history. The shot was witnessed not only by my playing group but also by the foursome who just walked onto the green and witnessed it roll-up and break right into the cup, unassisted by the pin. I was 3 weeks shy of my 65 birthday and was wondering if this (a hole in one) would ever happen. I know that my Dad was smiling down on me. I could not have asked for a better foursome; Mel, my constant playing partner and very good buddy, Brad, my member-guest partner and good friend and Steve, my newest golfing buddy and quickly becoming a good friend.
