A good friend of mine went out for 9 holes with his wife and on a 138 yard par 3 used a wedge and topped the ball. It ran up and through the green (at least he thought) and both him and his wife looked behind the green in the rough. When they didn't see the ball, his wife decided, just in case, to look in the hole. Well they should have looked there first. It is his first hole in one after 40 years of playing. He said he would have liked to see in go in the hole. I say, take it any way you get it.
