Playing in a charity golf tournament at Gates Four Country Club in Fayetteville, NC. Hole #7, 151 yards, uphill. Hit my Titleist NXT with my 6-iron. It looked like it could be close, but being an uphill shot, we could only see half of the flag. Arriving at the green, I didn't see the ball, and figured it probably went off the back. As I was getting my wedge and putter out of the bag, one of our playing partners (who is from England) walked to the hole and said, "Bloody hell! It's a one-er! Jolly good shot!" I laughed my butt off. Ironically, that was the ONLY par 3 that didn't have a Hole-in-one prize. All the others were new cars, trips to Hawaii....just my luck! :(
