The lows and the highs

Today I was playing in a best ball on the first day of our senior league at Millcreek, a 9 hole course in Burlington WV. The first time around, I hit a shot on #8 that landed 18 inches right of the pin, hopped and spun back and left, and rimmed out of the hole, 18 inches away and directly opposite the hole from my ball mark. Oh, so close! So the round continues, and I hit my tee shot at #4 just a little thin, it hits in front of the green, bounces twice onto the green and rolls straight in the cup. My first hole in one in 35 years of playing golf. And it was oh so close to being 2 in 1 day. It was a very good day on the course, to say the least, and I think I'll keep playing this game a little longer.
