For the past 10 years I have played at least 100 Holes (this year 180 holes) on the 4th of July in an event that I created, 100 Holes for Our Heroes benefiting Hire Heroes USA. This year, early in the morning, there was some local live TV coverage. A new member at Chenequa CC drove out with his son, asked who to make a contribution out to and handed me a sleeve of Pro V1's which I put in my bag. On August 21st, while playing Erin Hills, one of those balls was teed up on the 16th hole, and when struct with my Titleist AP1 P Wedge, sailed 124 yards, landing just right of the pin, spun sideways and in for the Ace. Was happy to share this story with my new friend a few days later. The event raised over $125,000 this year and over $660,000 for the past 10 years. This years funds will place over 125 veterans into new jobs.
