I’am gordon jones and have been playing golf for 43 years and for about that long have dreamed of making a hole in one. I played high school golf and in one match I did hit one to the lip on hole number 17 at Ceader Brooke country club, buy my teammate reacation who were leaving the 18 Tee box I knew it was oh so close, I get to the green and the ball COULDNT have been closer, I did shade and did pray for gust of wind but to no availe, I thought that very day that was my chance and will probably never get to experience an ace, since that day I’ve had a few close ones and one of them being two inches away but from that day in high school I’ve been haunted that it did not fall in and I’ll never have one. I’ve told everyone how hot the AVX is and my friends know I wear nothing but Titleist gloves and hit nothing but Titleist balls, so for my birthday a group of the fellows at work gave me two dozen of the AVX and two Titleist Perma soft gloves, fast forward to September 8 at Farmville Municipal golf course on the 168 yard par 3 9th using said ball and glove, I get to the Tee with a group of my peers from work with the match on the line and hit a 7 iron, as soon as it left the club I knew I had smoked it, the ball hits at the very edge of the fringe and I am thinking WOW this could be good as it starts it’s roll towards the hole I am watching and it disappears, I run a few steps and say “did that go in” and my partner assures me it indeed had fell in, the pure Joy the Rush was better than I have ever dreamt it would be, it was a moment I’ll cherish for the rest of my life and I want the staff at Titleist to know you my dear dear friends were a very big part of it, from the pits of my nicotine stained heart I can’t thank you guys enough.
