I have been playing golf for over 30 years and have always dreamed of what it would feel like to hit a hole in one. Today was the day I realized that feeling. It was an initial feeling of total shock. It happened at the local course, Stonebridge Country Club, on the signature hole. I was fortunate to be playing with my usual foursome, Dave Duhamel, Jeff Houle and Paul Hunt. It was the perfect July day. I was the first to tee off and the ball felt great of the club. As the ball landed on the green, the guys were routing for it to hit the pin. It hit the green bounced 2 to 3 times and disappeared into the hole. I threw the club, raised my arms and uttered holy ****. I told the guys I'm done, my golf career is complete. Of course, I didn't mean that. It took a few holes for the excitement to wear off. Such a great day with great friends. Certainly exciting to witness a hole in one. I can finally say I have one !
