Second one was better than the first

I'm a little older now and retired and balls don't go as far as they used to, had to go to a longer club but I am still a single digit handicap. Playing from the whites instead of the blues, we all can identify with that. I was out on a perfect day in Florida with some buddies playing a familiar but tough course. My buddy, Johnny Wheat Germ puts the laser on the 16th flag, says 171 yards. He hits first and knocks it to 1 foot. I'm thinking he has the skin and the greenie, and I know he is thinking it as well. Jeff Ball Hawker says thats a tough one to beat, I don't concede outwardly but inside I'm in total agreement. I look at the wind and it is helping a bit, I think how this would be a smooth 7 iron but better take a 6 cause I'm not sure the aleve has kicked in yet. Being a lefty, I step up and figure start it left and draw it in and let the wind hold it up a bit. It was a pure strike in the sound of the club contact on the ball. We are all watching the ball flight and Bill Ryan says looks good, as it starts on the downward path Johnny WG says looks good. The ball hits the green just outside Wheat Germ's ball and rolls by and disappears. We were all laughing and high fiving each other. Really was a throw back to my first 10 years prior but this one was better Dimitri (Jim) Morfessis
