At DeBell, the mens club has a daily game which we do our normal nassau and other money games and on this day I got put in a foursome with the club president Blake Selover, my partner and a 1 handicap(I am a 13 handicap, the club tournament director Jason Brahinski, a 13 hcp, and club board member Don Pell, a 7 hcp. Started of the round double bogie, single bogie, single bogie, which drew a comment by Blake, "really taking advantage of those strokes" to which I said "hopefully I show up eventually". We went through the front nine and came out on top in the nassau up two with me shooting a 44 on the front. Started out the back par, par, par on some very difficult holes so things started feeling pretty good. On #13, a par 5 playing 500 yards from the back tees, I birdied the hole to go 1 under on the back nine. I had the teebox on #14 which played all way back to a blue flag. we play a closest to the pin game and one of the players from one of the groups on front of us had hit on to about 10 feet. Selected my 200 yd club, a 20 degree rescue club, and hit a shot going right at the flag. the ball hit about 20 feet in front of the pin and slowly rolled to the whole and in for my first hole in one in my life. we all celebrated and I ended up going 8 over on the last 4 holes for an average round of 84 but won all games I had on the day. I obviously couldn't handle the excitement of the moment by the way I limped in! But what a feeling!!
