Rich Benson's Hole in One
By Richard B On 25 September 2017
I got back from vacation. My 40th year high school reunion. My Golf club was playing our 1st round for our club Championship at Monarch Bay golf Club, Tony Lema course, in Northern Ca. 9/10/2017. My index is 10 and in 46 years playing golf never had a hole in one. I play frequently. I was okay with the fact that I was going to drop dead before I got a hole in one. Low and behold, I am in the exclusive club. Way cool. Unexplainable emotions. Now that was fun! 4th hole, 163 yards to a back pin. Wind pretty calm for this course. I had a very nice swing and good contact, it felt real good. The pitch mark was about 3 feet in front of pin. The ball was visible for about 10 seconds and then it was no longer there. It fell in the hole. It had been leaning on the pin. Very exciting! It was Difficult for me to play well after that but stayed in the mix I have a lot of ground to catch up next week but the hole in one experience was seriously worth it. I Played with a Titleist, Pro V 1, # 66. I have been playing with Pro V 1’s for probably 25 years. Love the way they feel off my irons and putter face. You make a good ball Titleist. Thanks.
