Playing through on a par 3 seldom has a happy ending for myself. Nevertheless, there I was playing a Sunday afternoon round today with my best friend and and playing partner of 30 years. Standing 198 yards from the hole with 3 players waving us through my friend hit an amazing shot just 4 feet from the hole! Not wanting to be outdone, I focused on making good contact with my Pro V1, took a deep breath, and flushed a 5 iron. As the ball approached the green my friend told the ball to get up as I yelled “Get in!” As the ball hit the green it skipped forward and all three people on the green yelled in unison “It’s in the hole!” When we arrived to the green I was congratulated by the three people on the green. It was teenage boy, his father, and grandfather! This was an amazing moment that I will never forget. Thank you Titleist for making this dream come true. By the way, my friend made his birdie putt.
