On July 1 out walking nine by myself like I often do at Eldorado CC in Mckinney, TX. Playing horribly, 6 over after 5 holes pretty much thought the round was a bust. Two ladies caught up with me on 6 tee box, invited them to join. Parred #6, so okay things looking up finally. Got to #7 par 3. Uphill slightly 166 yards into the wind. Pulled 6 iron (brand new Titleist AP3 6 iron by the way) and hit away. Caught it pretty well, slightly thin, great line saw hit green but could not see cup. Thinking it might be close. Walking up to green, don’t see the ball. Oh no, over the green? By chance walked by cup on my way to the back of green, glanced down and there it was! Thankfully my two fellow club members were there to be my witness. I think they were more excited than I. So after a $400 bar tab, which I got stuck with, we all had enough liquid courage to go out and swipe the flag from the hole. The flag and the Pro V1 is in my office. Sometimes life is good!!!
