Off My Bucket List!

A hole in one was on my bucket list and frankly I didn't think it would ever happen, since I love playing golf but really struggle getting a handle on this illusive game. As my brother and I approached the 16th Hole, (a Par3 at the Golf Club of Newport, NY), he teed off and landed his ball about 10 yards from the hole. I was having some really poor shots up to then and said "I guess I need to put mine inside yours" (jokingly of course). He responded, "then just put it in the hole". I then teed off and hit the best iron shot in my history! It felt so sweet, perfect impact, nice trajectory, landed on the green and slowly drifted right to the flag as we both watched it disappear into the hole! The girls at the Club House heard us as we celebrated together. I learned a lesson about this game at that moment, I wasn't thinking about my score, didn't really care, grabbed my 5 iron and let it rip. My mind was totally free as my Titleist Pro V1 took to the sweetest flight I have experienced in 15 years of trying to play golf.
