7/30/16 The 6th hole at New England Country Club in Bellingham MA is a Par Three that features an 18 foot rock "mini mountain" in or near the shot path that is more of a distraction than an obstacle (Hale Irwin has a wonderful eye for natural features in his course designs, as well as a wicked sense of humor). On 7/30/16 it was playing at 146 yards, slightly uphill with very slight hurt in the faint prevailing wind, so I chose a 7 iron and hit my Pro V1x on a nice trajectory that looked to be an inch or two left of the flag stick. I saw one hop and then heard a loud CLACK! The guys on the 7th tee box all started cheering, so knew I finally had my first HiO! John Nelson
