I have played the eighth hole at my club hundreds of times over the past 12 years. I always use a 5 or 6 iron. This year I bought a 6 hybrid and used it on this day. I hit the ball solid and felt it was going to be on the green, nothing that special. I bent down and picked up my tee prior to the ball coming to rest. About four steps back to the cart my friends started yelling it went in! I thought it was a prank until I saw how excited they were! My first ace after playing for 62 years!
